With 25 years of senior-level experience in the corporate sector, working with building product manufacturers, Richard spent countless nights in hotels across the UK. Recognising a unique business opportunity, he set out to create something different.

Bringing 15 years of expertise in property renovation and rentals, along with his deep appreciation for Worcester, Richard has built a business that offers a distinctive, high-end experience for visitors to the area.

Director / Owner

Hannah has successfully built a thriving recruitment business specialising in the property sector while mastering the art of property renovation and rentals.

Her keen eye for design and deep understanding of hospitality allow her to create exceptional spaces that blend luxury, exclusivity, and unparalleled comfort, ensuring every guest enjoys a truly elevated stay.

Carrie

Director of Property Management

With 25 years of senior-level customer service experience, Carrie is dedicated to ensuring every guest enjoys an outstanding stay. Having traveled extensively for work and stayed in numerous apartments, she knows exactly what makes a space feel welcoming and comfortable.

Hands-on and highly skilled, Carrie has firsthand experience in property renovation, from painting to bricklaying. Her expertise allows her to not only understand guests’ needs but also handle practical fixes, like repairing a leaking tap, ensuring every stay is seamless.

Hi, I’m Fraser, Guest Services Manager at WhiskAwayHomes. I prioritise making people feel welcome and ensuring they have a great experience. I’ve grown up in Worcester and spent over 10 years playing for Worcester Rugby Football Club, teaching me the value of teamwork, communication and keeping a cool head under pressure. From a young age, I have worked front-of-house in my family’s catering business, so hospitality has always been a natural fit for me.

My goal is to make every guest’s stay as smooth, enjoyable and as memorable as possible. Whether it’s handling requests, solving problems or just offering a friendly welcome, I’m here to help make your time with WhiskAwayHomes truly special.

Richard and Carrie are the best hosts I have ever virtually encountered so far!

When it comes to defining an Airbnb as a place that doesnt make travellers feel like they are away from home, then WhiskAwayStays are the best properties for you if you ever wind up in Worcester… Hosted by Richard & Carrie, the properties are second to none amongst a medieval city that boasts the Cathedral, Royal Tombs, Crypt and Cloisters. Richard and Carrie are the best hosts I have ever virtually encountered so far! All in all, I haven’t got anything negative to say about WhiskAwayStays. In fact, the apartment is better than they are charging. Furthermore, its strategic central city location just makes the place the best Airbnb in the city.

As a regular commuter to Worcester, it’s nice to find a home from home. The flat is great and perfectly located. It was warm, clean and well equipped. Richard was a friendly and helpful host. I look forward to staying here again.

I would highly recommend this listing. Extremely conveniently located near the train station in Worcester. Beautiful loft style apartment on the ground floor. Beautifully laid out with a very personal touch. Our host was extremely helpful to us, and always quick to respond when we had a concern or question. If they are happy to have us we will definitely stay over again when we are able to. Thank you again for the great stay.

Staying in Richard's apartment was flawless

I have to say, staying in Richard’s apartment was flawless. Everything was tidy, intimate, well-placed and cared for. The bed was gorgeous, and the location spot on; directly opposite the train station, a dream if you are always running a bit behind like me! Also, Richard and his sister were super kind, helpful and proactive, particularly when they came downstairs to help me adjust the heater, on New Year’s Eve! It was the kind of experience that makes you glad Airbnb exists. An amazing stay, and a wonderful place to reminisce about when I think of my visit to Worcester. Thank you!

I highly recommend

I had an amazing stay at Richard’s place. Situated in heart of Worcester, everything you need is within walking distance. The apartment is gorgeous. All fixtures and fittings are brand new and pristine, with everything you need for an extremely comfortable stay. Most surprising aspect: the peace and quiet within the apartment- no neighbourly noise at all. The bedroom is at the back, very quiet and dark with a wonderfully comfortable bed for a great night’s sleep. Richard was incredibly responsive and friendly. I highly recommend.
